I am so proud and fortunate to be the director and owner of Evergreen Learning Center. Prior to Evergreen, I worked at multiple centers in town, including Discoveries II, Cottage Hospital Children's Center, and Community Action Commission Child Development program. I graduated in the field of Early Childhood Education in 1991 and right after started the Pre-K program at Notre Dame Elementary school. Once I became pregnant with twin babies, I left to open my own childcare program, The Tender Years. A few years later I went back to center based programs directing at Bright Start the Early Years and then joined Evergreen just 4 months after it opened in 1997. In 2003 I purchased the program and property to become the owner/director.
I am one of 7 children, born and raised in Canada. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to work with children and families. I feel so fortunate to be living my dream and building relationships in this amazing community. I am the mother of grown twin girls and step mom to 2 more and live in Goleta with my husband and 3 dogs. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, cooking, dog cuddles and have perfected the art of puttering.

It has always been a passion of mine to work with children. I started at a young age when I became my neighborhood babysitter and worked as a summer camp counselor for most of my teen years. I studied Early Childhood Education at Santa Barbara City and graduated with my associates degree in 2004. I have been working at Evergreen since August 2006. I started as a teacher with the Elephants, one of our pre-k groups. In 2019 I became the Assistant Director and have been loving every minute of it! I feel so fortunate to not only be a staff member but a parent at this amazing school and part of this community. I have three children; Easton, Ella and Peyton. Easton and Ella both attend Vieja Valley Elementary school. Peyton is currently attending Evergreen, where she started on the toddler side just like her big brother and sister. Evergreen is my home away from home. I truly believe in the foundation of our philosophy and building relationships. I am proud to share my passion with you and your families each day. In my free time you can find me working out at my wife’s gym, RiseUp fitness, or enjoying all of the wonderful family friendly activities and places Santa Barbara has to offer.
I have been a part of the Evergreen Family since June 2006. Like many children that have grown up here, I too, feel like I’ve grown up at Evergreen. It’s been my second home for the past 15 years! I started my Early Childhood Education journey at Santa Barbara City College, first as a student teacher, followed by a two year internship. While working as an intern I earned my ECE Certificate as well as my Associate's degree. I’ve also worked at local elementary schools as their after school program leaders and as Washington Elementary's after school site director. Obviously, I have always loved working with children!
I recently became a new mom to a baby boy named Zaedyn. Being a mom has been something I’ve always hoped to be! I grew up in Santa Barbara and now live in Ventura with my boyfriend and son. I love spending time with my family and friends, being a foodie, diamond painting, spin classes and going to concerts.
Ever since I was young I was told that I should work with children. As I grew older I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program in May 2018 and began working at Evergreen Learning Center in July 2018. I am currently one of the alligator pre-k teachers.

Although I have lived elsewhere, I am a Goleta native and there really is no place like home. On the weekends I enjoy exploring new trails, swimming and singing.

I am the mom of 3 grown children who have all been lucky enough to attend Evergreen and come to work with me. I couldn’t ask for a better job!! It is privilege to be a child’s first school experience. I enjoy working together with our families to offer support to the children and their parents.
In my free time I love spending time with my family. I enjoy attending sporting events (my baseball team is the Los Angels Angels) road trips, barbecuing, the beach, and hanging out with friends and extended family.

I worked as a professional dancer around the world but after meeting my husband I came back home to Santa Barbara to start a family. I went to Santa Barbara City College to get my Early Childhood Education Certificate then worked at Discoveries for a year before giving birth to my first child. In 2002 I was ready to come back to the field of ECE and found Evergreen Learning Center and have been here ever since. Both my now adult children came to this wonderful place and I am so happy to have been working in this amazing environment for so long! When I’m not at Evergreen I’m walking my pup or going to my other home away from home, the Gym.
